Publishing an article in the Nepalese Journal of
Ophthalmology requires publication charges for its
sustainability that will have to be paid by the submitting
author upon acceptance for articles submitted on or after
Jan 1, 2013. The author will receive a hard-copy of the
journal free of cost.
Page charges for black and white: USD 15 per page
Charges for color pages: per actual cost
NB: The cost will be calculated and the invoice will be
submitted to the corresponding author. The decision of the
Nepal Ophthalmic Society will be final in case of any
The publication of regular issue of the Nepal J Ophthalmol is delayed because of detection of duplicate submission / publication.
Duplicate publication is considered violation of publication ethics.
The authors are advised to restrain themselves from such unethical acts.
Duplicate submission results in wastage of time, efforts and resources.

The copyright transfer agreement form must be signed by all the authors including the co-authors.
Publication of the articles may be postponed if the completed form has not been received by the editorial office.
The Editorial Board has decided that the Copyright transfer agreement form signed by all the authors must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission. The principal author and the other co-authors must confirm that the paper has not been submitted and will not be submitted to other journals without informing the Editor-in-Chief of the Nepalese Journal of Ophthalmology.
Dual publication will result in black-listing of all the authors.
It is to notify that resubmission of previously submitted manuscripts to the Nepal J Ophthalmol is not allowed without prior permission from the editorial office.
Non-compliance with this rule may result in cancellation of all the submissions.
